I got a text from sister I spoke with for over 2 hours the night before last. The message last night wrote me and my theories on family insanities were not a part of her memory and she didn't want to hear any more about it. There was seldom alcohol in the house and she has no SA that she had all the symptoms memories. She had told me the night before last that her psychiatrist told her she has all the symptoms of someone raised in an alcoholic home.

I did respond with one last message. If she doesn't want me in her life that is fine. However the father was a bartender. I suggested that she looked at the stats for people who work in bars. Especially the kind like he worked at; hole in the wall.

But I am done. Done trying to reconnect. Done trying to see if they came to their senses. I told her that if they want to think I am a liar or crazy or a crazy liar then go for it. I am done.

They are even in denial about the lung cancer. She already has spots on other parts of her body but the chemo kept them from going inward. A snake waiting to strike. I wish that on nobody. But they can go f*ck themselves.

sorry that things went sour like that. how frustrating for you (to put it mildly). it took courage to try to reconnect. but when they stay in denial there's not much you can do beyond what you've done.
