Heat Wave

There's a heat wave in the NYC area. Yesterday it was over 80 degrees in our second-floor apartment, despite us having the AC on high and the ceiling fans running. When we end up looking forward to going back to work today, you know it's bad.

We arrived in our office building this morning to find that there was no AC working on our floor. On the other floors, yes. The admin in maintenance said that they'd placed a "rush emergency request" to have the AC repair ASAP.

F*cking hell.

So here we are in our office with our bottle of Snapple sitting in a vase full of ice cubes. Never tell a menopausal woman that there's no AC.

Hear Hear! And first one is the worst one! Heat wave that is. Thank God there is only 1 menopause.

Thanks. Unfortunately, menopause drags on ad nauseum. At least the heat wave only lasted two days.
