I had some wine tonight. Out with a group. Was feeling quite sober as I chatted with someone but as I walked home I felt like I had double of what I had. Like the person affected stayed inside until we were on our own. Familiar?

We've experienced something like that at times. Also, sometimes it seems to have no effect even when it's enough that it should, and other times only a small amount hits us much harder than such a small amount normally would. Factoring out food and other mitigating interactions, it still seems odd to me. I don't doubt other factors do play a part with how and when and how fast alcohol can be felt, but there are times when it seems that either "switching" or else differing tolerance levels for whoever is consuming it is the only explanation.

Hell ya I hear that for sure! There are time I can drink and drink and it ticks me off it has no effect on me when I shold be under the table then other times I am under table after a couple of drinks. Don't make much sense and can't explain it other than it must be someone else inside doing something, that is only logic I can come up with.
