Other/All/Unsure   Smoking
I have officially quit smoking. I was supposed to do it closer to the beginning of the month but it didn't stick. I hadn't gotten everyone on board on yet and was wavering on the decision to quit and not wanting to quit. Well I/we have decided to quit!
This might sound very messed up but the only way to get through the cravings is to be mean to ourselves. Well maybe mean isn't the right word. Telling ourselves that we are too weak and stuff like that. Reverse phycology......and it is the ONLY thing that we have found that works for us. So this is it.......no more smoking for us.

RE: Smoking
Thanks nats. I just finished my first day at work without having a cigarette. I didn't think it was possible but we did it.

Monominds rarely make it the first time either. And I wouldn't be surprised if some of them use these words. Maybe when you reach a certain amount of time you can get the ones who held back a non-food reward. Best of luck. Proud of you and you should be proud of yourself.

RE: Smoking
interesting. guess that fits with tobacco companies being the main sellers of e-cigs Confused. anyway, you'll find a way to quit when you're ready Smile.

Thanks, I agree. I will go to see the doctor again and get another prescription and try again once things settle down around here.
