Hi,
We are brand new here and think it will take us awhile to learn the forum format. Please be patient with us.
We are a large system in an older body. We don’t have a host.

We were diagnosed in the late 80s back when it was still mpd. We had a good therapist for 4 years. After that, a different therapist sent us into about 27 years of extreme denial and suppression of alters.
Eating
We like our therapist though she is not a specialist. The only specialist in our geographical area is too far away and also doesn’t accept our insurance even if we could travel.
We have been on SSD for over a decade because of our DID and the related anxiety, ptsd and depression.
We have been in the process of meeting alters for the past year, working on internal communication and acceptance and that is ongoing. We do 3 types of journaling, art work and we also have 3 support workers from our state DMH. But our collective communication has a really long way to go.

At the moment we are having extra stress because our regular therapist is out on medical leave. We do have a back up therapist. And we we are looking forward to her return.
