Question  Question for people with lap tops.
The warranty runs out on our machine in January. We are trying to figure out if we should send it in.It keeps making a beeping noise. The kind I used to get if I held a key down for too long. Now it is just random. I don't know if it is the sign of an issue or if it is just part of the programming.

if the warranty hasn't yet run out, send it in. Just make sure you back up EVERYTHING first!

no idea. some computers are set to beep every time you get a message or do something specific, others aren't. if you had someone there to see it who could tell you that would be best.

UI have a laptop. But I think the tricky thing is to know what is normal for that particular one. Mine dings when I get a message.

You could try to google the model number and ask Google if dinging or noise is normal.

You could also do what I do with my car when it makes noise, which is turn on the radio so i can't hear the noise. Wouldn't really recommend that though.
