Hi, canucklady. Good to see you again. We're glad you posted.

What are some safe things that you can do to help yourself feel better when you get scared?

Sitting here listening if you'd like.

Hi Canucklady.
Sorry you are struggling.
Just a suggestion, have you ever tried grounding techniques. For example when your anxiety increases use your senses. Look around and name five things that you see, four things that you hear, three things that you can feel, two things that you can smell, and one thing you can taste. This has helped my son. By the time he gets to number one his anxiety usually has decreased.
Sitting with you and hoping you feel better soon.

Sending thought of comfort and support your way as you find a way to DE-stress and start to cope little by little. Here to listen if you need someone to talk to.

The computer is very useful. There are so many times that knowing the day and date is a struggle. However, the little calendar on the task bar reminds us. Crisis averted. Then we have to figure out how we got to where it is, but that is different altogether. Sending calming thoughts to you.

First of all, welcome to MM, the best place to be if you need to talk with others who have been where you are. I remember when I was first dxd. My very wise t told me that "nothing will happen that didn't happen before the dx". She was right. There were small things that were mostly tests but for the most part life went on as it had before. Well, we do have a self named two who wanders around the apartment talking with the cats and the stuffies and presumes they answer. But we have not awakened in Chicago or some place after going to bed here in Canada. We have not done a lot of things that TV shows people doing who have some level of DD. We live.

I am glad you came to talk to people who understand. Ask questions if you want. Generally works better than asking a specific person. Many of us have been coming here for a long time, although the furniture has been rearranged a few times. We know what it is like to be scared. And we accept you as you are and for who you are. It is a safe place. People only know what you tell them and nobody can figure out things like the fact that I am the 3rd cousin twice removed to Prince William.... Just Kidding! You will be OK! You have a T who gets it. That is so much more fortunate than what many of us have gone through.

Great graphics, The People.

During this year's World Baseball Classic, the Canadian team got into a big brawl with the Mexican team. In his post-game press conference, Ernie Whitt, the manager of the Canadian team, was asked if anyone on his team was injured during the brawl.

"Nah," Whitt calmly replied. "You can't hurt us Canadians."
