Values versus finances - The People - 02-21-2020

A few weeks back I read on a news story that horrified me. It ha to do with cat food and one of the companies that supplied food. They use slaves and if some get washed out to sea, they just get more slaves.

So I decided to boycott the food. The only problem is, my budget does not allow for pet store food. So I want to hold onto this battle because a lot of people just don't care. People who are not on disability pensions.

What to do???

BTW, my clothes are mostly made by underpaid and overworked people in 3rd world countries. However, I cannot change that. However, I thought I could beat this food thing. Frustrated.

I want to support issues. I can not afford to support issues. PLEASE let me win the lottery tonight!

i understand the conflict of what you can afford and what you want to support. it's tough.

is that the only cat food available that you can afford? or do all non pet store cat food manufacturers do that despicable practice?

The company controls most of the food on the shelf. What they don't control Katy doesn't like.

Mosaic I did find one wet food that she likes. Once we are finished with the dry I might buy the more expensive stuff. The upside of this is that it is healthier and she eats less. This means she will lose some weight. I wonder if I should try it :/

it sounds like an option for Katy - i wouldn't advise it for you.
