At approximately 10 a.m. PDT, we will release an out-of-band security update to address the issue affecting Internet Explorer (IE) that was first discussed in Security Advisory 2963983. This update is fully tested and ready for release for all affected versions of the browser.

How nice of them to include XP users in the fix. *sarcasm*

Our IT department at work will apply their own mysterious fix (may or may not be the same one that you mentioned) over the weekend.

Totally off topic: A small coffee at the cafe that we've gone to with you is only $1.25. Definitely a bargain.

Feels like a retro coffee price. It's good business.

Well, Softie has to do something nice once in a while. I guess that's it for 2014.

Why would workplace IT dept. make up a different fix? You're joking, right?

1. To save money

and/or

2. Because they're fidiots

Basically, before MS changed their plan, we figured that XP users were up sh*t's creek. Co-workers are graaaaadually being upgraded to Win7. We were told that we could only get one of our machines (we have two at work) upgraded in the near future. I suppose we should be grateful. Not.

Yankees are losing again tonight. Anemic hitting against good pitching. Ohwell.

In response to 1., 2.: AND! can forget about the "or."

Sorry about the home team. Tangential to that, did you see the piece on Yahoo re Yogi Berra's house? His wife passed in March and he's selling it. There are lots of photos.
My taste is somewhat different, but I found the place delightful, a happy home.

We knew about Yogi selling the house, but we didn't read any articles. It's certainly understandable that he would want to get a fresh start, probably in a place that needs less upkeep.

Yesterday's game went better. Today's game is starting shortly. We need to focus on doing something productive, though.
