LOL. Canada and the US are the only countries with really strong teams and the US was in front for most of the game. As they handed out the medals some of the US were actually crying. Canada would have been the same. It is worse than losing that final playoff game in the Stanley Cup which happened here the first year I lived in this city. In other sports coming 2nd is good. People are ecstatic because they got a bronze in ski jumping. Not hockey.

Anyone watching US vs. Canada men's hockey? It's on in our office cafeteria. When we checked, it was 0-0 at the first intermission.
Our father is a huge Rangers fan and is rooting for Team USA, but he's wearing a Rick Nash t-shirt.
He's also following the Rangers players on other teams.MDs

Canada did well in these Olympics. We are all proud of them. The gold medal game started at 5 am. Every pub in town was packed. KA kept us up all night, afraid of us fallig asleep and missing it. We just went down the block and it was packed. Our body was the oldest there by far. KA made a flag out of a mitten from the past games. Canadian teams and fans have the best mittens and a new set comes out every 2 years. Cheap but good!
Anyway, it was great that we won. Even better it was so nice to get out and have fun. The US VP sent our President a case of beer. Special labels on them that said congratulations, 2 hockey sticks and something about us being good neighbors. Nice gesture.
