I watched this on Netflix yesterday. Apparently it is also in writing. The author is gay. He starts with talking about how he didn't fit in as a kid. When he came out as gay his parents were angry. His mother died before she had a chance to accept his life. It hurt him.


He decided to write a book on the subject. Only he didn't just want to write about gays. The video is fascinating. I won't share all of it in case you want to watch it but he talks about people with many types of life challenges and how they changed it.

It was thought provoking. I want to read the book. I really recommend it. Feeling Far Away From the Tree is something that I, and many others here relate to. The end brings smiles though.
