It is possible that he is a person with absolutely no boundaries. He may have meant it when he asked for help. What I have learned to do (because part of me wants to be Superwoman) is to suggest that his best answers would come from calling the office and leave it at that. However, if you got creeped out, go with it. Better safe than sorry.
