being needy still
Hi All,
After 20 years of dealing with MPD/DID I still have littles inside who need so much love and affection. We can feel out cast and rejected at the drop of a hat. One of our secure older alters usually takes over but not long enough. Can any relate? Thanks

Friendship/Support  RE: being needy still
Hi, olivia and owl girl. Welcome back.

Yes, we can relate. We have a group of teens (The Babysitters) who spend much of their time taking care of the children. They usually each take care of their own siblings, but in cases where one of them has fewer siblings, they lend a hand to someone who has more.

One of the issues that we've dealt with is that some of the kids' difficult feelings have actually originated elsewhere in the system and shifted to them because the "owner" of the feelings hasn't been able to handle them. We've been working on reclaiming difficult feelings by those who originally experienced them, and as a result, the kids are generally doing much better.
