welcome, earthandskyfolks. we hope you are able to come again and chat on the forums - you'll find lots of support from others here who deal with a lot of the same issues you describe.

having your t out on medical leave can be so difficult - glad you have a back up t and hope your back up is helping you - we just know that for us when our t was out for medical reasons, the back up t was not very good at helping us manage our emotions about our t's absence.
