CBT and DID...my experience

CBT is designed to be brief...Well, not *always*, but the trend in psychology is toward finding ways to do time-limited interventions, partly because that's how insurance tends to pay for it. In my experience, that right there is enough to say that it's not great for folks like us, because so little of what we tend to need to do in therapy can be packaged that way.

I think CBT has its place, maybe even for dissociative folks, but not for actual DID treatment.
