New, and kinda overwhelmed.
Just wanted to say Hi!

I'm Clair, and have recently been diagnosed DID, and things have been hectic recently, so it's all a bit overwhelming.

I may just lurk and read for a little while if that's ok?

Welcome, Clair (and all)!

Yes, it is very overwhelming at first. That's perfectly understandable and normal. It's so, so good that you're seeking support and information. We love this site and have found so much empathy, validation, and solid, positive feedback here over the years--as well as a place just to vent or to simply "be" without having to pretend or hide. I hope you find it helpful for you in your journey, as well.

We look forward to seeing you on the boards!

Welcome Clair. Yes it gets overwhelming. Many people lurk for a bit before feeling comfortable enough to take part in conversations. When you are ready say hi once in a while. It is a afe and wonderful place here.

Thought we would say hi again in case you are stopping by. Maybe you are and maybe it is not the time. There are no rules around how often you have to stop by. Safety is the first rule as a young lady I know says. Hopefully you will find it safe enough here to keep coming back. The beginning is overwhelming for everyone. I got a lot of help here when I first found out I was a we. There are no wrong or dumb questions so when you feel safe feel free to ask. Or just say hi. When you are ready.
