the date is set - mosaic - 02-28-2020

my dissertation proposal is scheduled for March 19 at 10 am.

i have three weeks to practice the presentation so it will go smoothly.

then more paperwork, one more committee review and i will be able to begin data collection on my research.

on the one hand it's moving really fast.... on the other hand it is seeming to drag out forever.

Oh so close? How long does it take to present? Sending you prayers and rainbows and all the right words to flow from your mouth! I am so proud of you!

thank you people!

the presentation itself is only 20 minutes! for someone who historically has been extremely anxious in standing in front of others and sharing what i know (in presenting the dissertation information, i am supposed to be the subject matter expert on the topic). there has always been a fear that one of the audience will say i don't know squat.

so i need to really know my stuff so i can present it with confidence.

If you felt like it we could face time on Facebook. Perhaps not for the whole thing but for part of it that you have trouble being confident with. I would be honest with feedback. Just remember though. You are your biggest critic so perhaps you need to use a variety of mirrors to practice on. Tell the girl in the mirror that you do know your stuff.

BTW if you don't mind me asking, what is your topic?

RE: the date is set - mosaic - 03-02-2020

well, my dissertation title is: A Phenomenological Inquiry Into the Lived Experience of Persons Diagnosed with Dissociative Identity Disorder

Boiled down to regular language, I'll be interviewing folks with DID to learn about how they experience life in general (daily activities, etc), school, employment, and social networks.
