MosaicMinds Interactive Community Forums are considered "self-help" and community support networks. MosaicMinds employs no professionals to monitor or interact in these forums. Posts made by individuals to the Mosaic Minds Forums are expressions of the opinions and views of the author and not necessarily those of MosaicMinds or any of it's representatives.

MosaicMinds, Inc. is not responsible for the veracity or validity of any information posted here, nor do we vouch for the authenticity of any of the authors. MosaicMinds and its representatives will not be held liable for any information or message posted to any of the interactive community forums and disclaim all liability resulting from any action or inaction taken as a result of reading or posting a message in any of the community forum.

Neither MosaicMinds nor its representatives pre-screen any messages posted to any forum.

MosaicMinds Interactive Community Forums employs date aging algorithms on all forums which will be normally kept to under 100k size in order to manage bandwidth on our servers. The Communtiy Administrators delete messages beyond a certain date in order to meet that goal; the number of messages deleted during a trim are based upon that forum's traffic level. Highly trafficked forums (e.g., Welcome Aboard or the Steam Room) have short expiration periods (generally less than a week) while messages in other forums may have longer periods before they are purged. MosaicMinds does not archive any past messages; once they are deleted, they are gone forever.

Participation on the Mosaic Minds forums requires registration. You do not have to provide any 3D information about yourself, but you are required to provide a valid email address so that we can contact you if the need arises. You will also be required to provide a "username" and password which will be used to access the forums.

The exception is our Welcome Aboard forum where newcomers who have not yet registered may post and interact with other newcomers and registered community members. If you are interested in learning more about the Mosaic Minds community, we encourage you to stop by Welcome Aboard.

If you would like further information on registering for the forums, send a blank email to join-AT-mosaicminds.org, and you will receive an automatic response containing information on obtaining a password. (Be sure to replace the -AT- with the @ symbol. We list it this way to minimize robotic spam.)

The MosaicMinds Interactive Community consists of 17 forums divided into three areas, The Suburbs, DownTown and the Civic Center

In the Suburbs, you'll find the lighter conversations, introductions, parties, kids playing, discussions of daily life living with dissociation, etc. You shouldn't encounter much in the way of potentially triggering material on these forums. DownTown, however, life gets a little harder, and the topics get deeper, and potentially more triggering, particularly on Memory Lane and in the Steam Room. The Civic Center's City Hall is where the community can interact with those volunteers who keep the site running smoothly. Issues about the communities and possible violations of our Community Standards can be brought to attention there, as well as suggestions, ideas, complaints, compliments. Or just to stop by and say "hello".

The Suburbs  The Suburbs is where you will expect to find the lighter conversations that take place in our community. With a place for all ages to make friends and get to know others, we hope that you'll find the connection with others that reminds you that you're not alone. Triggering material is kept the barest minimum in the Suburbs, and not permitted at all on several of the forums.

Down Town  Like in most cities, things get more intense Down Town. In our Down Town forums, you can expect a higher level of feelings of all kinds being expressed. Material is likely to be triggering. You are advised to keep track of your younger parts when visiting the Down Town forums.

Civic Center  Again, like in most cities, issues that affect the whole community are taken up at the City Hall in the Civic Center. If you have questions or concerns about particular postings in one of the forums, questions or concerns about how to do things, or how things work, stop by City Hall and leave a message.

In addition to City Hall, which is a public forum, the adminstration of the MosaicMinds community goes on behind the scenes in private forums for the Administrators and the Board of Directors.
