Interactive Community Forums are considered "self-help" and community support
networks. MosaicMinds employs no professionals to monitor or interact in these forums.
Posts made by individuals to the Mosaic Minds Forums are expressions of the opinions and
views of the author and not necessarily those of MosaicMinds or any of it's
representatives. MosaicMinds, Inc. is not responsible for the veracity or validity of any information posted here, nor do we vouch for the authenticity of any of the authors. MosaicMinds and its representatives will not be held liable for any information or message posted to any of the interactive community forums and disclaim all liability resulting from any action or inaction taken as a result of reading or posting a message in any of the community forum. Neither MosaicMinds nor its representatives pre-screen any messages posted to any forum. MosaicMinds Interactive Community Forums employs date aging algorithms on all forums which will be normally kept to under 100k size in order to manage bandwidth on our servers. The Communtiy Administrators delete messages beyond a certain date in order to meet that goal; the number of messages deleted during a trim are based upon that forum's traffic level. Highly trafficked forums (e.g., Welcome Aboard or the Steam Room) have short expiration periods (generally less than a week) while messages in other forums may have longer periods before they are purged. MosaicMinds does not archive any past messages; once they are deleted, they are gone forever.

Down Town Like in most cities, things get more intense Down Town. In our Down Town forums, you can expect a higher level of feelings of all kinds being expressed. Material is likely to be triggering. You are advised to keep track of your younger parts when visiting the Down Town forums. The Town Square is another general community "hang out", but the topics will probably be more intense here, and the possibility of potentially triggering material exists. The Cafe Esprit is our Spiritual Forum, where matters of things that transcend the daily and the mundane are the general topics of discussion. All types of belief systems are welcomed and we ask that you respect others as you would like them to respect your beliefs. The Tree House is a place where the adults in the community nurture the kids in the community. While it can be for the big feelings of scared or sad that the kids might be feeling from time to time and for which they'd like comfort and reassurance from an adult, it is a place where the adults can interact with the younger parts in a playful atmosphere as well. Systems are advised to keep track of their own kids a little better here, because the area is not as closely monitored by the PALs. Adults choosing to interact with the kids are advised to keep adult issues off of this forum, as it is intended to be used for the benefit of the younger parts. The Senior Center provides an opportunity for dissociatives (and their significant others) to discuss the sometimes confusing and painful issues they face in their lives as adults. Systems are please reminded to keep their younger parts safe, as sometimes these issues deal with s*xuality. The Home Team forum is especially intended for those who live with, support and love someone who is dissociative. Because their level of sensitivity to triggers is not generally as great as that of the dissociative, the level of "spoiling" in this forum is likely to be far less. Healing Paths is a forum where the primary topics will be related to treatments, diagnoses, medications and other such issues faced by dissociatives. While professionals my participate and are welcomed to do so, they participate merely as educated lay people on this forum. The Street Corner is likely to be the preferred hang out for our more rebellious, street-wise teens. Take extra care when visiting this forum as the language is likely to be colorful. The feelings expressed here are likely to be much stronger than at The Mall in the Suburbs. Discussion Depot is primarily a place to discuss issues that sometimes seem to have no right or wrong answer, but many "sides" nonetheless. While we hope that even in disagreement, participants can learn from their discussions here, please be advised that sometimes the discussions can get pretty heated. The Newsstand is a specialized version of our more general "Discussion Depot." Here the discussions will center around current events or items in the news. Some of these items will just be of general interest. However, on some issues "reasonable minds differ" -- sometimes quite strongly. This forum can provide a wonderful way for all of us to learn that firmly held opinions are part of our individuality, and that passionate discussion -- even disagreement -- can be a good thing. The Steam Room is a place to let out the anger and frustrations that we can all experience. Screaming at the world at large is acceptable; screaming at each other is not allowed here or in any of the MosaicMinds Interactive Forums. Extreme caution is advised when visiting this forum, as the language gets quite descriptive, and often includes profanity. Memory Lane is the place to talk about the feelings which sometime threaten to overwhelm us when dealing with traumatic memories and flashbacks. Here we can explore and express the past and present feelings about trauma. It is also the place to talk about current issues or situations which have a high potential to be upsetting to others. Because posts on Memory Lane often reference past situations, they are likely to be triggering. Please note that detailed descriptions of trauma and abuse belong on Hard Hat Zone instead of Memory Lane. The Hard Hat Zone is a password-protected forum which provides a degree of privacy for community members to talk about their pasts. Here, memories of trauma and abuse can be discussed with a level of detail and freedom of expression that is not appropriate on the public forums. Participation in the Hard Hat Zone is granted by application after a person has become an established member of the community. Union Station is the forum used to discuss issues surrounding integration-both pro and con, as well as comparing it to other types of healing choices. Discussions here are likely to be of triggering content if integration is an issue for you and your system. Because the word integration, as well as discussion of the subject overall, is used freely in this forum, please check yourself and your own system as to safety needs before you enter. The subject lines and post contents DO NOT require spoiling of the word. We hope that you enjoy this forum, and find it a healing experience to be able to discuss these issues freely. |
