  1. NEW FORUM
  2. A new forum has been created, called "The Hard Hat Zone". The purpose of this forum is to give MM community members a place to express their memories of abuse and other trauma with a level of detail and freedom of expression that is not permitted in other forums.

  3. ACCESS
  4. This forum is password protected. Access is a privilege to be earned, not a right. Community members may obtain access to the forum by submitting a request to the Board of Directors. New community members are asked to observe a "get acquainted" period of 4 weeks in the community, participating on at least 3 of the other forums before requesting access to this forum.

  5. RULES OF PARTICIPATION
  6. All other general community standards apply to this forum, with the exception of the escalation procedures. Specific rules governing participating on The Hard Hat Zone will be strictly enforced. The first instance of non-compliance of any rule will result in the post being removed and a warning given to the poster. The second instance of non-compliance will result in revocation of access for a time-out period of 1 month. After that time out, the member may reapply for access. If upon readmittance a system once again posts in violation of the rules of the Hard Hat Zone, access to the forum will be revoked for one year.

    1. System responsibility

      1. It is each system's responsibility to ensure their own safety on this forum. The material posted here will be extremely triggering to read. Therefore, everyone participates here at his or her own risk.

      2. The Administrators will not participate in discussions or disputes among a system's insiders as to whether or not they should be involved in this forum.

      3. Inside children of all ages are welcome to post about their icky memories and big feelings. Please be sure to take appropriate safety precautions as determined within your system.

    2. Content limitations

      1. This board is specifically for expressing memories of past abuse and other trauma. Therefore, the content of any post can be explicit and triggering. We ask that when posting, however, please keep the following in mind:

        1. Do not place any triggering material in the subject line.

        2. Rate the post according to the content. In particular, please be certain to mark posts containing references to ritual abuse as such.

        3. Scrolling is not mandatory however please keep in mind that it is more respectful to write a brief sentence or two to warn people of the content of your post and then scroll down before the main body of your post. Do this by writing your description and then hitting enter and a character (letter/symbol/number) of your choice at least 8 times. This gives the reader a chance to back out if necessary.

        4. Spoiling of individual words is an individual's choice; an auto spoiler replaces the vowels of certain words with an asterisk so that we do not appear in certain search engines or filtering software.

        5. Do not name perpetrators.

        6. Do not taunt, harass or threaten other posters, whether they are members of your own system or not.

        7. In addition, please see the points below regarding posts about suicidal intentions and self-injury.

    3. Cross posting on other boards

Please refrain from mentioning any posts on this forum when posting on other boards. You are welcome to talk about feelings that come up while reading or posting here, but only in general terms. Referencing posts that contain triggering material can induce a lot of inappropriate guilt in the poster. Therefore, any posts of this nature made on other forums will be removed.

    4. Suicide and self injury posts

    5. The posting of suicide notes or any other indication of the intent to attempt suicide or self-injure is prohibited, as is the posting of graphic descriptions of self-harm activities. Discussion of the urges and feelings are appropriate but making a clear statement of current safety is a must when doing so. In any case, graphic descriptions or "plans" are prohibited. Furthermore, any posts that appear to lay blame on or demand action by Mosaic Minds or any community member (as in "help me, talk to me, or I will...") are also prohibited. Any such posts will be removed and will/may result in the loss of access privileges to the forum.

  7. GROUNDS FOR DENIAL/REVOCATION OF ACCESS

    1. Access to the Hard Hat Zone is a privilege, not a right.

    2. The Admin team and Board of Directors reserve the right to revoke or deny access on a case-by-case basis based upon past conduct on other boards and/or because of breaching the above rules. Access decisions are their prerogative and are not subject to the Grievance Procedures used for the rest of the interactive forums.

    3. Time outs or other disciplinary decisions from other boards are also valid here.

  8. ADMINISTRATION

  9. The Hard Hat Zone has the potential to be a difficult forum to administrate because of its content. Because of this, administration of this forum will be handled differently. There will be a special HHZ Admin Team assigned to that forum. Any notifications of posts that possibly breach guidelines will be made to an email account which is be posted at the top of the forum. That email account will forward to the entire team. In matters felt to be urgent, a notice of the email having been sent may be placed on City Hall.
