The Mosaic Minds Philosophy is:

We believe that those who survived significant trauma in their lives by using dissociation at an early age have demonstrated that their greatest strength lies within themselves.

As the official policy making body of Mosaic Minds, Inc., the Board of Directors retains final authority over policy matters. However, in recognition and acknowledgement that the Mosaic Minds community

-- is a strong, creative and adept group of people

-- is collectively resourceful and proficient at problem solving and the art of compromise

-- has a vested interest in promoting the overall health, safety and continuity of the Mosaic Minds Community Forums

the Board of Directors has sanctioned the creation of a Round Table Forum in which to meet with interested community members and hold spirited yet respectful discussions about the policy and strategy decisions that face the community and the organization.

The types of things that will be discussed on this forum are complex issues for which there are no simple right and wrong answers. Each of us as participants will bring to these discussions our own experiences and sensitivities, which give us a framework for thinking about the issues. However, even though personal feelings might run high, we all need to recognize that the primary purpose of the forum is to discuss the more global implications of various policies and strategies on the entire community.

The Board of Directors would like to see orderly and considered discussion on a wide range of topics in order to increase their awareness of the many aspects of these complex issues as they face the tasks of deciding policy matters for Mosaic Minds. In order to remain focused, discussion will be limited to a single topic at a time.

Two moderators for each issue will be selected from among a list of volunteers to help the group remain "on topic" and to summarize the discussions when completed. The goal is to look beyond polarized options and attempt to come to "best interest" compromise solutions for the issues the community faces.

The Community Round Table Forum will be password protected. Access will be granted upon request made by email to the Board of Directors. Participation in such a forum is a privilege earned by showing concern and respect; it is an honorable responsibility, not a right. Respect for differences of opinion is key to the success of this forum. Absolutely no flaming or attacks will be permitted. Such behavior will result in the participant being denied access to the forum.

To request access to the Community Round Table Forum, please send an email to roundtable@mosaicminds.org and reply to the automatic email you will receive with the particulars it requests.
